We were fortunate to lease Goldenloch Waters Edge Hot Shot SH (Kimber) from Laura Weinmann and have the opportunity to breed her to Willie.

Kimber takes everything in stride; a plane ride from Boston to Seattle, immediate trip to Vancouver Island, 2 weeks of training and a 3 day drive to southern California and she has been happy to do whatever is asked of her. Kimber is high drive in the field, earning her Senior Hunter title with Laura in 4 straight tests. In the house she is well behaved and has fit in easily with the rest of our dogs.

She was bred to Woodecoy Carpe Diem (Willie) and had 7 puppies, 4 boys and 3 girls, on September 17, 2014. Those puppies are all in great homes, and daughter Lyric is staying with us.

Kimber is currently staying with Susan Kluesner who has done a fantastic job teaching an “old” dog new tricks. Kimber has excelled at obedience and earned a couple titles during her stay with Susan.

It is with a sad heart that we learned that Kimber died from a sudden intestinal rupture April 26, 2019. She enjoyed life until the last day, she was out field training the afternoon before she became ill. She was well loved by Susan K and family, the Weinmanns and us and will be deeply missed.

She was bred by Deborah Porth Blackwell of Goldenloch Kennel in Grapeland TX. Her sire – OTCH HIGH TIMES WILD TURKEY UDX8, SH, OM3, U-UD, OBHF – is a wonderfully talented and handsome guy who along with his siblings has set a NEW RECORD in number of OTCH titles earned by one litter – 6 to date. Kimber’s mother – GOLDENLOCH CRYSTAL ROSE SH, WC – is an accomplished and very attractive field girl with an outstanding pedigree. This breeding has surely produced highly biddable dogs with great drive to work.
