Happy 13th Birthday Annie!

Our second ever teenage golden retriever! Happy Birthday to Grandma Annie, 13 years on October 23. Annie is Willie’s mom, Lyric’s grandmother.Annie raised 2 pups in her litter, and has been an excellent nanny to all of our puppies through the years.

Arson earns 2 AKC Senior Hunter legs

Not to be outdone by housemate Willie, Arson earned 2 Senior Hunter legs at the GRCGLA Hunt Test in late October. And on Sunday’s test she lined the land blind, a first for me! Way to go Arson, you are such an exciting dog to run!arson-shlegs

We are super excited to announce that Willie earned his Senior Hunter title and an extra SH leg at the GRCGLA Hunt Test at the end of October. His official name is now Woodecoy Carpe Diem SH CA CGC WCX CCA !

Willie and Arson earn WCX passes at the 2016 GRCA National Specialty!

Woodecoy Carpe Diem (Willie) and Rio Woodecoy Plays With Fire (Arson) both passed the Working Certificate Excellent (WCX) test at the GRCA National Specialty in Corning, CA in October. A new title for Willie (WCX) and a second WCX pass for Arson. Both dogs did a fantastic job and were team players for this event. So proud of them!

GRCA National Specialty 2016 – Lyric

Woodecoy Song of Summer, Lyric, was part of the Woodecoy crew attending the Golden Retriever Club of America’s National Specialty in Placerville and Corning, CA in October 2016. Lyric earned 2 new titles – her CCA (Certificate of Conformation Assessment) and her WC (Working Certificate). She also earned a qualifying score in Rally Novice B. This makes her eligible for the Triathlon award, pending GRCA confirmation. The Triathlon award is for dogs that earn placements or qualifications in conformation, field and performance events at the same regional or national show. Lyric is an exciting young dog to train and a ton of fun!

CKC Hunt Tests Results

Willie, Rt back, (Woodecoy Carpe Diem JH CA CGC WC CCA, Canadian JH) passed all 3 days to earn 3 legs towards his CKC Senior Hunter title.

Lyric, front, (Woodecoy Song of Summer JH, Canadian JH) earned her CKC Junior Hunter title.

Great tests, beautiful grounds, and a fun time visiting old and new friends! Thank you to Upper Island Retriever Club and Swamp Dog Farms for a wonderful test weekend.
